We Believe!!!!

Christmas will be here before you know it.... is your blood pressure rising? If so it's time to stop the madness and enjoy the season... How do I do that , you ask? Well first; listen to some Christmas music.... I heard that moan! LOL! Just think about it for a minute, traditional Christmas music is about joy and peace. It is up-lifting and reminds us to love each other, to help each other, and to most of all to believe!! Believe what? How about in God and the wonder that is God (look at a flower or at nature) and in the hope that was given to the world with the birth of Jesus Christ.
At The Basketcase We Believe!!! We believe in the the Wonder and Hope of Christmas!!! We also believe that if you decide to let us help you with any part of your Holiday celebrations that you will enjoy our customer service and our products!!! We want you to have a wonderful celebration, one that is pleasant, charming, and most of all fun! We've gotten in lots of goodies for Christmas giving. Below are just a few pics of just some of the things we are offering this Holiday Season!!! Rural Route 1 Popcorn: This is some Very Yummy Popcorn snacks. We have three different kinds: K'Nuckle, a creamy medley of popcorn, almonds, and luscious White Fudge. RC Snackle, A tantalizing blend of sweet popcorn & tart cranberries...Smothered in luscious White Fudge!! C.C. Winkle, carmel corn and cashews dipped in Creamy Fudge.... Now I am happy to tell you that I am part of our tasting crew and we (like to) sample every new product that comes in so that we know that you are getting the very best product.... and it was sooooo hard to stop sampling this ..... YIKES!!! Now we have popcorn envy for everyone that gets some of this good stuff in their basket!!!

Next item is cookies!!! We have all kinds... The one pictured below is just one flavor that we have that is Bottomed in Chocolate!!!! Who ever thought of BOTTOMING cookies in Chocolate is a GENIUS - to me anyway!!!! These are so Delicious!!! Pictured below is the Chocolate Mint Chip Cookie that is bottomed in white chocolate.... we also have: Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk that is bottomed in white chocolate, Colorful Candy Shortbread that is bottomed in dark Chocolate and Turtle Supreme Cookies that are...You guessed it...Bottomed in dark chocolate!!!

Next we have the hand decorated gourmet vanilla sugar cookie. These are very limited and also taste tested for YummEness.... & YEP! They passed!!!!

So Thankful!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! We truly appreciate our customers at The Basketcase and are thankful for you all!!! We are constantly striving to give our customers, our friends, The Best!! Whatever it is that you need to send, to someone you care about, or love we want to give you a great value and something that looks Great Too!! We are stocking our shelves with all kinds of yummy goodies for the Christmas season, but it is not to late to send Thanksgiving wishes and goodies to someone too!!! We have such a great fruit basket.... yes I know Fruit Basket... It sounds so ordinary... but we like to jazz it up with some dipping chocolate... and some dipping carmel! Can you say YUM... then we can add some pretzels, nuts, granola bars and cookies! Now that is how you "WOW" a fruit basket! Even for the healthy minded individual! And I'm just saying... if you are going to eat chocolate, and most people are... What better way than with fruit... Chocolate dipped apples or bananas! Even oranges taste great with a touch of Chocolate... Yep I've tried it!!! ;-)

Then we take your gift and wrap it all up in cellophane and decorate it with a beautiful bow......

Sweet Shop Truffles - A Little Bit O' Heaven Right Here in Texas!!

I would like to take just a few minutes of your time to introduce you to Sweet Shop Handmade Truffles, they are FABULOUS and (drum roll please)......It's your Lucky DAY....We have them in our Shop!!! We have four delicious flavors all pictured below.... I know. They look soooo good, don't they? By definition a Truffle is: a candy made of soft chocolate, shaped in a ball and dusted with cocoa. Trust me this definition doesn't even come close to describing the wonderful melt in your mouth chocolate-E goodness of these truffles.....
Sweet Shop's Signature Truffle - Fudge Love...... Milk Chocolate whipped fudge center immersed in dark chocolate then in milk chocolate.... can you say MMmmmmmmmm.....

The next Truffle I'd like you to meet is - Chocolate Cookie...

Milk chocolate center with oreo cookie bits dipped twice in milk chocolate. Excuse me did they say dipped twice? ...Ohhhh myyyyy!!

Our final two truffles are The Coconut Truffle - do you love coconut? This is the truffle for you, or for someone you know, who loves coconut!!! LOL

With a creamy coconut center dipped in smooth milk chocolate and then dipped in a mixture of dark chocolate and coconut..... need I say more? Didn't think so....

Last but not least... The Double Chocolate Truffle from Sweet Shop, this truffle has a dark rich double chocolate center that is dipped in milk chocolate and then dipped again in dark chocolate.

Tatum, who works at The Basketcase, lovessss the Chocolate Cookie Truffle because.... who needs a reason!!! LOL They are completely YUM! As you can see in the photos below, of Tatum enjoying a Chocolate Cookie Truffle....The pictures really do speak for themselves!!!

When you're eating a Sweet shop Truffle the last thing you worry about is chocolate in your teeth!!!

It's all about the BELLY!

It's All About The Belly? I know that sounds weird but... hear me out.

This summer, I discovered the art of Pregnancy Belly Casting. My good friend Jodi was pregnant and of course, a baby shower was gonna happen! When I asked Jodi if she would let me cast her belly, so we could use it (them... we cast her belly 4 times!) as decorations for the shower, she said YES! So what followed was a celebration All About The Belly!!!
The beautiful shape of a expecting mom is something that intrigues most people, who can resist the inevitable rubbing of that cute belly... NOT ME!!!! These days that Fabulous shape is announced to the world, I'm preggers and I'm CUTE, not hidden under tents, like days gone by (when I was preggers!) Instead moms-to-be embrace their shape and I L-O-V-E, LOVE IT!! Why should something so sweet and such a miracle be hidden away? So be proud girls...Wear those tight shirts!!! Check out the casting pictures and the finished bellies below!!! A big thank you to Jodi, who was so sweet to let me learn this fun art with her!!!

TUTU Tu-rrific!!!!

At The Basketcase we have ventured out into the world of the oh so FABulous TUTU.... we carry ItSy BitSy TuTus... and I just have to share some pictures with you of the little darlings that wear them with glee and JOY!!! Soooo Cute!
The First of our TuTu pictures are of, Ava Grace, who is the TuTu Princess!!! Such a super cutie!!! All sweet smiles and coos!

She is the proud owner of THREE ItSy BitSy TuTus.... here is a pumpkin patch picture....

And of course she was an actual Lady Bug for Halloween so here is her full length black and red tutu, she is actually modeling this one in the store!! LOL

Then there is Brooklyn she actually posed for pictures in front of the store!!! so cute! She was ready for twirling in her converse tenny shoes and matching hairbow!!

Meet Mitzi.....

How much is that doggie in the window? That's the song that goes through my head when I see this adorable little puppy... Our newest addition Mitzi!!! She is ready to brighten someones day and cheer up anyone else that sees her too!!! And yes she does have a brother and a sister... LOL!

Louis a little brown and white puppy went to a youngster in the hospital, he was missing his real puppy! You should have seen the smile on his face when he saw Louis (his puppy's name) recreated in flowers....

They are all here and ready to make the world a better place! Mark Twain said "The best way, to cheer yourself is to cheer somebody else up." Isn't that the truth? I always feel better when I know that I have brighten some one's day, even in the smallest way.

Fabulous Barbie!!!

Isn't she beautiful? We were recently given the priviledge of doing a centerpiece for the Senior Citizens Services of North Texas "Senior Prom Event". They asked area florist to donate a centerpiece featuring a Barbie or Ken Doll (that they provided to us). I must admit...I got a little carried away with my Barbie! I even made her a tiny wrist corsage!!! LOL
I glued petals from mini carnations to her bodice and made her dress out of all different types of blooms!!! Imagine her as a bride for a bridal shower dressed in all white of course!!! WOW... or as she is for a little princess party!! Such Fun! Hope that everyone is having a Great Day!!! Take care and enjoy this rainy day!!!!
