So Thankful!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! We truly appreciate our customers at The Basketcase and are thankful for you all!!! We are constantly striving to give our customers, our friends, The Best!! Whatever it is that you need to send, to someone you care about, or love we want to give you a great value and something that looks Great Too!! We are stocking our shelves with all kinds of yummy goodies for the Christmas season, but it is not to late to send Thanksgiving wishes and goodies to someone too!!! We have such a great fruit basket.... yes I know Fruit Basket... It sounds so ordinary... but we like to jazz it up with some dipping chocolate... and some dipping carmel! Can you say YUM... then we can add some pretzels, nuts, granola bars and cookies! Now that is how you "WOW" a fruit basket! Even for the healthy minded individual! And I'm just saying... if you are going to eat chocolate, and most people are... What better way than with fruit... Chocolate dipped apples or bananas! Even oranges taste great with a touch of Chocolate... Yep I've tried it!!! ;-)

Then we take your gift and wrap it all up in cellophane and decorate it with a beautiful bow......

Sweet Shop Truffles - A Little Bit O' Heaven Right Here in Texas!!

I would like to take just a few minutes of your time to introduce you to Sweet Shop Handmade Truffles, they are FABULOUS and (drum roll please)......It's your Lucky DAY....We have them in our Shop!!! We have four delicious flavors all pictured below.... I know. They look soooo good, don't they? By definition a Truffle is: a candy made of soft chocolate, shaped in a ball and dusted with cocoa. Trust me this definition doesn't even come close to describing the wonderful melt in your mouth chocolate-E goodness of these truffles.....
Sweet Shop's Signature Truffle - Fudge Love...... Milk Chocolate whipped fudge center immersed in dark chocolate then in milk chocolate.... can you say MMmmmmmmmm.....

The next Truffle I'd like you to meet is - Chocolate Cookie...

Milk chocolate center with oreo cookie bits dipped twice in milk chocolate. Excuse me did they say dipped twice? ...Ohhhh myyyyy!!

Our final two truffles are The Coconut Truffle - do you love coconut? This is the truffle for you, or for someone you know, who loves coconut!!! LOL

With a creamy coconut center dipped in smooth milk chocolate and then dipped in a mixture of dark chocolate and coconut..... need I say more? Didn't think so....

Last but not least... The Double Chocolate Truffle from Sweet Shop, this truffle has a dark rich double chocolate center that is dipped in milk chocolate and then dipped again in dark chocolate.

Tatum, who works at The Basketcase, lovessss the Chocolate Cookie Truffle because.... who needs a reason!!! LOL They are completely YUM! As you can see in the photos below, of Tatum enjoying a Chocolate Cookie Truffle....The pictures really do speak for themselves!!!

When you're eating a Sweet shop Truffle the last thing you worry about is chocolate in your teeth!!!

It's all about the BELLY!

It's All About The Belly? I know that sounds weird but... hear me out.

This summer, I discovered the art of Pregnancy Belly Casting. My good friend Jodi was pregnant and of course, a baby shower was gonna happen! When I asked Jodi if she would let me cast her belly, so we could use it (them... we cast her belly 4 times!) as decorations for the shower, she said YES! So what followed was a celebration All About The Belly!!!
The beautiful shape of a expecting mom is something that intrigues most people, who can resist the inevitable rubbing of that cute belly... NOT ME!!!! These days that Fabulous shape is announced to the world, I'm preggers and I'm CUTE, not hidden under tents, like days gone by (when I was preggers!) Instead moms-to-be embrace their shape and I L-O-V-E, LOVE IT!! Why should something so sweet and such a miracle be hidden away? So be proud girls...Wear those tight shirts!!! Baby Love abounded at the shower!!!! Isn't this the sweetest... This belly wasn't painted by shower time...The above picture is the finished belly in all its glory!!!

I like to call this pose 'Sweet Emotion'. Mom's arms embracing her precious cargo.... This would also be so sweet with Dad's arms too...

TUTU Tu-rrific!!!!

At The Basketcase we have ventured out into the world of the oh so FABulous TUTU.... we carry ItSy BitSy TuTus... and I just have to share some pictures with you of the little darlings that wear them with glee and JOY!!! Soooo Cute!
The First of our TuTu pictures are of, Ava Grace, who is the TuTu Princess!!! Such a super cutie!!! All sweet smiles and coos!

She is the proud owner of THREE ItSy BitSy TuTus.... here is a pumpkin patch picture....

And of course she was an actual Lady Bug for Halloween so here is her full length black and red tutu, she is actually modeling this one in the store!! LOL

Then there is Brooklyn she actually posed for pictures in front of the store!!! so cute! She was ready for twirling in her converse tenny shoes and matching hairbow!!

Of course I had to get my granddaughter, Carli, in on the tutu craze... even though she feels like she is too old for a tutu...She did humor me...A little...

and even her little brother, Owen, got in on the picture session....
